Monika Podhorecka

Monika Podhorecka is a medical doctor she graduated from Medical University of Lublin Poland in 1998. She earned her PhD at the Department of Immunology Medical University of Lublin. Currently she is a professor assistant in the Department of Hematooncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation of the University. She published 45 reviewed papers and she was an author of 3 book chapters. She has a teaching experience of more than 10 years. She was one of the members of Polish Society of Hematology. She served as a reviewer of peerreviewed journals in the area of hematology and pharmacology. She was a member of organizing committee of international conferences on “Chronic lymphoid and myeloid malignancies” that was held in Lublin every two years. She received several scientific awards for instance Polish Health Ministry Award Award of the Rector of Medical University of Lublin.
Biology and treatment of chronic lymphoid malignancies, especially chronic lymphocytic leukemia, Apoptosis in pathogenesis of CLL, drug-induced apoptosis in CLL, DNA damage, DNA damage response.
