Dr. Navendu Goswami is a Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in Department of Physics & Materials Science & Engineering. He had also Worked as Investigador-Post-Doctoral Fellow in Solid State Electronics Section, Electrical Engineering Department, Center of Research and Advanced Studies of I.P.N. (CINVESTAV) Mexico City, Mexico. Dr. Goswami earned Ph.D. in Physics from prestigious School of Physical Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He Qualified UGC-CSIR fellowship and National Eligibility Test for two times and was among the top 20% CSIR JRF awardees in Physics. During his Ph.D. and afterwards his research area is Nanoscience and Technology. He has supervised diverse Nanotechnology projects at M.Tech. and B.Tech. levels. He published several peer-reviewed research papers in international journals and conference proceedings. He presented research papers in about a number of international/national conferences, attended various scientific workshops and delivered invited talks in India and abroad. Dr. Navendu Goswami is member of Material Research Society (MRS) USA, MRS India, Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA), Indian Physics Association (IPA), Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) and referee for several journals such as; Small, Journal of Nanoparticle Research, Applied Physics A, International Nano Letters, Applied Surface Science, Materials Chemistry and Physics and Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology B etc. He is also on the editorial board of scientific journals. He is recipient of various academic and teaching awards; to name a few, Chancellor’s Silver Medal and Vice-Chancellor’s Gold Medal for Topper in all M. Sc. level exams (1999-2000) and in M. Sc. Physics exam (1999-2000) of Bundelkhand University, Jhansi; District Winner (Ghaziabad, U.P.) of Broad Outlook-Learner Teacher (BOLT-2008) award (by Air-India & Dainik Jagran), award for highest marks in Physics at B.Sc. (1996), BBC Genius –1998 and U.P. Government’s ‘A’ category Scholarship etc.
Analysis of electronic structure and optical properties of nanostructures employing Fluorescence, Raman, FT-IR, UV-Visible absorption spectroscopic measurements etc. Structure-property correlation for undoped, doped wide band gap group II-VI and various metal-oxide semiconductor nanostructures & nanocomposites.
