Orazio Vittorio received his Laurea Degree in Biology (with Honours) from the University of Pisa in July 2006 “In vitro development and characterization of molecular clones of feline immunodeficiency virus mutated in the signal sequence of Env glycoprotein endocytosis”. He received the Ph.D in Innovative Technologies for Health at the University of Pisa in February 2011, by discussing a thesis titled “Biocompatibility and biomedical applications of Multi Walled Carbon Nanotubes”. He has been working at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa as research assistant. Currently, his research activity is focused on the investigation of the biological applications and biocompatibility of artificial nanostructures. He is author of many international papers and 3 book chapters on nanotechnologies and the nano-devices for biomedical application.
