Dr. Orli Thau-Zuchman has dual background; clinical background as a physiotherapist, working in a neuro-rehabilitation ward as well as a neuroscientist. Her main interest have been stemmed from her clinical work in the hospital, mainly with traumatic brain injury(TBI) patients ; her main interest is understanding in more depth the mechanism underlying inflammatory response and exploring the impact of different therapeutic agents on recovery after TBI. She received her Ph.D. in neuroscience at the Hebrew university, in 2012 where she studied the effects of manipulation of endogenous neural stem cells in traumatic brain injury model. Currently, she is an Associate Researcher in the Centre for Neuroscience and Trauma, Blizard Institute, Queen Mary University of London. Her work is currently focused on pre-clinical translational projects investigating the potential of therapeutic targets after Traumatic Brain Injury.
