Ozlem Cakici received her PhD in Biology in 2008. She got the associate professor degree in 2014. She is working in the Zoology Section of Biology Department in Ege University. Ozlem Cakici is working on the effects of histopathological effects of pesticides, especially on lizards, frogs and mice.

She is examining the surface of insect egg morphology by scanning electron microscopy.
In addition, she is interested in cricket culture and internal organ structures of some insects.
