PhD in Physics - Biopathology in Medicine (Faculty of Medicine of the University of Barcelona and Hospital Clínic).
He made several training periods in Hammersmith Hospital London, UK (2004-2005), Universitat de Valencia (2006) and Institut Pluridisciplinaire Hubert Curien Strasbourg, France (2010) as post-doctoral researcher.
Recently, he won a post-doctoral grant and since 2010 he works as researcher (Sara Borrell program) in the Molecular Imaging group (IDIS).
His main field of research is Quantification in PET and SPECT, tomographic reconstruction (PET, SPECT and CT), multimodality images (segmentation and coregistration), Monte- Carlo simulation modeling of imaging systems (PET and SPECT) and Statistical Parametric Mapping (SPM) in neuroimaging (PET, SPECT and MRI). He has been awarded during his career with: MSc Best Undergraduate degree (2001) and awarded 4 public research grants.
