Professor Jorgensen is a Professor in mathematics at the University of Iowa, USA; received his PhD from Aarhus University, Denmark; has taught at Stanford University, Aarhus University, and at the University of Pennsylvania, before coming to Univ of Iowa in 1983, as a Professor of Mathematics. He is a widely cited research mathematician,-- has funding from the Natl. Sci. Foundation, and other external agencies,-- he was a Faculty Fellow at the Univ of Iowa. He has many international research collaborations (externally funded), spanning the World; especially strong collaboration with researchers in Australia, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Korea, Norway, and Singapore. His research papers, more than 250, have appeared in international scientific journals; his publication list includes more than 200 research papers, and 8 books: in math, both pure and applied (operator algebras, and harmonic analysis), stochastic processes and financial math; and mathematical physics (quantum theory). He has had 22 PhD students.
