Dr. Panjamurthy Kuppusamy has received his MSc in Biochemistry from Bharathidasan University and PhD in Biochemistry from Annamalai University, India. Currently, he is a Researcher at the Department of Medicine, University of Maryland School of Medicine, and Baltimore. Before joining University of Maryland School of Medicine he was a UNESCO-RCB Young Investigator at UNESCO-Regional Center for Biotechnology, India. He has authored more than 40 articles in international peer reviewed journals and two book chapters. He serves as a reviewer for several international journals. His current area of research focuses on drug discovery, biomarker detection, DNA drug delivery and breast cancer therapy, molecular signaling involved in obesity induced carcinogenesis.
