Pedro Magalhães

Biography

Pedro Magalhães-Costa is currently a Gastroenterology Senior Resident (5th year) in Hospital Egas Moniz (Lisbon). During his residency had training in Surgical Intensive Care, Gastroenterology and Hepatology Intensive Care, Abdominal Ultrassound, Endoscopic Ultrassound, Non-Anesthesiologist Propofol Sedation (NAPS, training in Hannover, Germany), Therapeutic Endoscopy (training in Hôpital Erasme, Brussels, Belgium) and Double-Ballon Enteroscopy. Published 22 articles, 10 Articles in Pubmed-indexed Medical Journals, 4 Articles in non Pubmed-indexed Medical Journals, 2 Book Chapters, 6 Endoscopic Snapshots and 1 on-site Article. As first author, performed 13 Oral Communications in Hospital Meetings, 22 Oral Communications in Congresses and Scientific Meetings (5 of them in the international setting) and 30 Poster Communications. Received 4 Prizes/Bursary (2 by international societies - EASL and UEG) As a peer-reviewer, reviewed 3 Articles for journals: World Journal of Pediatrics, American College of Gastroenterology Case Reports Journal and GE - Portuguese Journal of Gastroenterology. Attended to 44 Congresses/Conferences/Scientific meeting and 22 courses in the gastrointestinal and hepatology field. Is also a member of 9 medical societies (3 of them international).
