Peter S. Sándor, MD, studied medicine in Ulm (Germany), Southampton (UK) and Zurich (Switzerland). He specialized in Neurology at the University Hospital Zurich, with research fellowships in the University of Liège, Belgium (Prof. Schoenen) and at the Institute of Neurology, Queen Square, in London (Prof. Goadsby). He was senior physician at the University Hospital in Zurich and has headed its Headache & Pain Unit. He currently heading the Neurology unit of the Cantonal Hospital of Baden and the early rehabilitation unit of the RehaClinic Zurzach in Baden. His main research interests are the pathophysiology of migraine and medication overuse headache, the pharmacotherapy of headache and pain, as well as clinical research on stroke. He is President of the Swiss Headache Society.
