Dr. Philipp Kohorst is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry and Biomedical Materials Science at the Hannover Medical School, Germany. He received his DDS in 2005. He was awarded with the Dentaprime Research Award, the Young Investigator Award of the KPZ, the Teaching Award of the MHH and the IADR/Heraeus Travel Award. Furthermore, he participated in the Academy of Excellence of the German Research Foundation. He has been funded by the DFG, FGD and various industrial partners. Dr. Kohorst is acting as reviewer for several reputed journals like Acta Biomaterialia, Journal of Biomaterials Applications, Materials and the European Journal of Oral Sciences. He has authored more than 20 research articles on peer-reviewed journals.
