Dr. Pham is Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine and Director of Outpatient Services at the David Geffen School of Medicine at University of California Los Angeles, Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program. Her areas of interest include new onset diabetes after transplantation, post-transplant cardiovascular disease, and medical and urological complications after pancreas and kidney pancreas transplantation. She is well-recognized for her work in various areas of kidney transplantation and has been invited to speak on transplant-related topics both at the national and international levels. She currently participates in several large-scale multicenter clinical trials in the field of kidney transplantation as principal investigator and co-investigator and researches on common issues that limit kidney transplantation including the recurrence of glomerular diseases following primary renal transplantation, long-term complications following kidney transplantation, and the medico-surgical and psychosocial limitations to living kidney donation. In addition, Dr. Pham also has an interest in hypomagnesemia and its potential pathogenic role in diabetic associated complications.
