Dr. Piotr Mika has more than 10 years experience in health science and is the author of over 30 peer-reviewed scientific publications, book chapters and conference papers.
Following a Ph.D. in rehabilitation of patients with peripheral arterial diseases he took up a position as an Assistant Professor at the University School of Physical Education in Cracow, Poland where he combine teaching activities with experimental researches in the field of rehabilitation in vascular disorders.
His research interest is physical training in patients with peripheral arterial diseases and claudication as well as physiotherapy in other internal diseases. Dr. Mika lectures Physiotherapy in Rheumatology at the university. In the 2003 he conducted research on recovery strategies after fatiguing exercise at the Exercise Science Department of Syracuse University, New York as a visiting scientist.
