Qiang Chen

Dr. Chen received his Ph.D. in Cell Biology from Xiamen University. He conducted postdoctoral training at First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University from 2009 to 2011, and focused on studying the role of nuclear receptor coactivator in liver diseases including hepatocellular carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma and metabolic dysfunction. Then, he continued his postdoctoral training at National Institutes of Health, USA from 2012 to 2015 until he joined Faculty of Health Sciences as a senior instructor. His interests continued to focuses in metabolic diseases and cancer development.
His research interests mainly focus on cancer development. The research strategy relies on both high throughput screening technologies such as NGS and individual gene study. I am also interested in studying the mechanism of obesity and diabetes.
