Qiand Zhu has completed his master study majoring in immunology and microbiology. Obtained Ph.D degree at University of Louisville, focusing on the genetic and molecular mechanisms that control the development of neurons and glial cells as well as tissue repair after spinal cord injury. He persued his postdoctoral training at Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research and interested in neurodegenerative diseases and lymphoma.
