Biography

Dr. Qingyi He is currently serving as the Associated Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Southwest Hospital. Dr. He is the well deserved recipient of various awards and honors, such as Scientific and Technological Award for cartilage tissue engineering in 2005, Scientific and Technological Award for bone tissue engineering in 2007 and The Second Class of National Scientific and Technological Progress Award in 2008. Dr. He has contributed 5 chapters to Orthopedic books and has published more than 30 original papers and abstracts of scientific research in professional journals. He has given over 15 scientific presentations at National and International meetings. In addition to publishing and presenting original research, Dr. He is also member of various Chinese Orthopedic Societies and is also the Editor of various National and International journals.

Research Interest

Treatment of degenerative disc back pain using the stem cells especially the autogenous mesenchymal stem cells, Spine arthroplasty with an emphasis in cervical and lumbar arthroplasty, Computer assisted navigation of spine surgery, Interspinous spacers and dynamic stabilization of lumbar spine, Minimal invasive surgery (eg: XLIF) on degenerative lumbar disease.
