Dr. Ramakrishna Wusirika is a plant biologist and a molecular geneticist with a wide range of interests that include bidirectional promoters, phytoremediation using plant-microbe interactions for heavy metal cleanup and plant products for human health. My expertise is in comparative and functional genomics, gene expression analysis, functional analysis of promoters, characterization of metal resistant microbes and their use in combination with plants for remediation of soils contaminated with heavy metals (stamp sands), and developing plant products for the treatment of human diseases.
