Dr. Randall Zhaohui Xu is currently Associate Professor of Accounting with University of Houston-Clear Lake. He got his PhD in Accounting from University of Alabama and is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA). His teaching and research interests lie in the areas of accounting and auditing. Dr. Xu has published a number of articles with highly reputable academic and practitioner journals such as Issues in Accounting Education, Journal of Accounting Literature, Advanced in Accounting, Research in Accounting Regulation, Journal of Forensic and Investigative Accounting, etc. He represents his research regularly in international business conferences. He also serves on the editorial board of several business journals including Business Quest and Open Journal of Accounting.
His research area includes- Empirical financial accounting and auditing: the interactions between corporate financial reporting and capital market, and the role of auditor in financial reporting and disclosure process
