I am Assistant Professor of Medical Mycology, Department of Medical Parasitology and Mycology, Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, Isfahan, Iran. I have worked for pharmaceutical companies as a Lab Manager and microbiology expert. I research on antimicrobial effects of medicinal herbs and I have trained some microbiologists who work in the same field. I have prepared many educational slides and I’ve provided a large collection of clinical isolates for educational and research goals. I have professional skills in DNA extraction (fungi), purification, restriction digestion, gel electrophoresis, PCR, PCR-RFLP, RAPD, FSP-PCR, PCR-ELISA, Real-time PCR, Preparing diluted of antifungal agents, Sample and Inoculum preparation, E-Test procedure, MIC and MEC reading results, MIC50, MIC90, MEC, MFC reading results, Breakpoint and interpretation of results. I also teach Medical Mycology at university to the students of medicine, dentistry, pharmacology, nursery, medical laboratory sciences, midwifery, health, and Advanced Mycology to the MSc students of Medical Mycology and PhD students of Parasitology. I research on epidemiology of fungal infection and I have focused on the application of molecular methods for identification of etiologic agents of fungal infections and I also research on antifungal susceptibility testing of clinical isolates. So, one of my chief responsibilities in the organization is supervision of student’s thesis and training of students who research in the same fields. Until now, I have supervised 14 dissertations from different departments including Medical Parasitology and Mycology, Infectious Diseases, and food safety and hygiene departments. Also I have many executive responsibilities such as Vice-chancellor in the Medical Parasitology and Mycology department, promotion committee, Editorial board, and research centers.
