Rasoul Nasiri
EPSRC Research Associate , UCL Mechanical Engineering Department
Univeristy college London
Dr Rasoul Nasiri, a former EPSRC Research Fellow in Sir Harry Ricardo Laboratories at University of Brighton (UoB), is a EPSRC Research Associate at UCL Mechanical Engineering department working on a project entitled “UK Consortium On Mesoscale Engineering Sciences (UKCOMES) (grant EP/L00030X/1)”. Dr Nasiri has worked at UoB on a project titled “Molecular Dynamics Simulation of Complex Molecules Using Quantum-Chemical Potentials: Application to Modelling Fuel Droplets (grant EP/J006793/1)”. Dr Nasiri gained his PhD, MSc and BSc all in (Physical) Chemistry. Numerous novel mechanisms in complex “Maillard Reaction Process” were proposed using quantum chemistry methods and MD simulation techniques. The results have been highlighted by the International Maillard Reaction Society (IMARS). Dr Nasiri is a prize-winner in Asian Nano Forum Congress (ANFC) for his best oral presentation. Dr Nasiri has studied or worked at different Universities in The Netherlands, France, Iran and UK. Dr Nasiri has received funding awards from EPSRC UK National Service for Computational Chemistry Software (NSCCS), HECToR, and ARCHER. Dr Nasiri has recently invented mesoscale-quantitative structure-property relationship (m-QSPR) models applicable in fluids structures in the gas-liquid interface and macroscopic transport properties in the multi-phase flow. The results of Dr Nasiri’s research has published in chemistry, physics, and engineering international refeered journals and also presented in numerous international and national conferences. Dr Nasiri has had more than a dozen invited talk in Germany, Irland, Iran and UK.
