Biography

Dr. Mayorga was appointed General Chair for the 1st International Conference on Applied Bionics and Biomechanics (ICABB-2010) (Venice, Italy, October 2010). Also, in the recent past, Dr. Mayorga has been appointed in several occasions as the General Chair for the ANIROB International Symposium on Robotics and Automation. Previously, he served as the Tutorials and Workshops Chair for the 1998 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS98). He was also appointed Program Chair for the 1997, 1996, and 1995, IASTED International Conference on Robotics and Manufacturing.

Research Interest

Dr. Mayorga is interested in the development of Paradigms for Intelligent and Sapient (Wise) Systems; and their application to Mechatronics (Systems Modeling/Operation), Robotics (Robot and Multi-Robot Systems Motion Planning and Design), Control Systems, Automation, Manufacturing (Decision Making, Optimization), Human-Computer Interaction & Interface (Web Intelligence/Sapience), and Bionics (Augmented Perception).
