Biography

Dr. Totah obtained her PhD. in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Kansas. She was a senior research fellow at the School of Pharmacy at the University of Washington in the departments of Pharmaceutics and Medicinal Chemistry from 2003-2006. She was appointed an Assistant Professor in 2006 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2012 in the department of Medicinal Chemistry.

Research Interest

Drug metabolism, toxicity and pharmacogenetics. Research areas of interest investigate the interactions between drug-endogenous molecules especially arachidonic acid and its various metabolites. Dr. Totah focuses on extra hepatic toxicity especially drug induced cardiac, bone and skeletal muscle toxicity.
