Ricardo Lagoa earned his MSc degree in Biotechnology from IST-University of Lisbon (Portugal) and completed the PhD in Biotechnology and Biomedical Research at University of Extremadura (Spain) in 2011. Currently, he is Assistant Professor at ESTG-Polytechnic Institute of Leiria and member of UCIBIO-Faculty of Science and Technology, University NOVA of Lisbon, Portugal. Research carried at these Centers pursue multidisciplinary applications of bioscience and biotech concepts in environmental and biomedical frameworks.
