Site PI for the University of Maryland Pediatric Emergency Department in the federally funded Pediatric Emergency Care Applied Research Network (PECARN). Also, chair of the Maryland chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics Committee on Injury, Violence and Poison Prevention (COIVPP) and member of the national committee of COIVPP. Former past preseident of the MD AAP and awarded pediatrician of the year from same organization. Also Region 3 Pediatric Medical Advisor for the Maryland Institute of Emergency Medical Systems (MIEMSS).
