Biography

Graduated in Biological Sciences, board in Medical Genetics, PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies at the University of Ferrara, Italy. She has a permanent position as Research Assistant and Project leader at the Microbiology Section, School of Medicine, University of Ferrara. She has an activity as national or international Expert/Reviewer for IF Journals, NIH and MIUR. Member of the Scientific Committee of the International Conference on HLA−G. She received the Julia Bodmer Joung Scientist Award from the European Federation of Immunogenetics (EFI). Her research themes centre on immunogenetics and virology, especially HLA molecules in transplantation, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases and cellular anti-viral responses. She is member of the European Federation of Immunogenetics (EFI) and of the Italian society of Microbiology (SIM).
