Rok Spruk is a doctoral candidate and researcher at Utrecht University, Department of Economic and Social History. In 2012, he obtained M.Sc degree in International Economics - Globalization and Development at Utrecht School of Economics, The Netherlands. His current research topic involves the reconstruction of key macroeconomic aggregates in Sub-Saharan African before 1950. His research interests encompass economic growth and development, applied econometrics, political economy of institutions and development, human capital formation and income inequality. He is also teaching introductory macroeconomics at University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics. Spruks research has been published in international journals.
