Did postgraduate studies in ophthalmology in Belo Horizonte (Eye Clinic of the Hospital Felicio Rocho, São Geraldo Hospital- Minas Gerais Federal University Santa Casa (Medical Sciences).
Specialist in Ophthalmology by the Brazilian Council of Ophthalmology, held expertise in retinal surgery at Retina Specialists of Boston, USA retinal imaging at New England Eye Center (Tufts University) USA a doctorate post doctorate in Ophthalmology at the São Paulo University (Ribeirão Preto)-Brazil.

Research Interest

Participates in different lines of research with emphasis on developing new treatments for retinopathies using Intraocular drug delivery systems and cell therapy (stem cells).
