Assistant Professor, Department of Bioengineering
University of Missouri, USA
Sachidevi Puttaswamy is a Research Assistant Professor in department of Bioengineering at the University of Missouri, USA. After finishing her undergraduate degree at VTU, India, and PhD at University of Missouri, she continued her work as post-doctoral scientist and now as a research professor. Her research interests include diagnosis of various pathogenic infections, antibiotic susceptibility studies, nanofluidic and microfluidic device development, nanoparticle aided pathogen separation and electrical impedance spectroscopy. More specifically her research work is focused on utilization of electrical impedance spectroscopy in frequency and time domains for rapid antibiotic susceptibility testing for direct-from-samples, diagnosis of sepsis, tuberculosis and cancer, as well as exploring its applications in STDs. Dr. Puttaswamy has over 10 years of experience in diagnosis of infectious diseases and has presented her work at multiple conferences with accolades, published and reviewed several research articles for scientific journals
