Biography

He is a clinically trained Ophthalmologist with an interest in Limbal Stem Cell Deficiency. He received his PhD in Stem Cell Biology from Newcastle University (UK). He is an editorial board member for “Recent Patents in Regenerative Medicine”. He is a Visiting Lecturer at Universiti Sains Malaysia (Penang, Malaysia). He has a number of publications and book chapters in the field of Limbal Stem Cell Biology

Research Interest

Translational stem cell biology for the treatment of blinding diseases, limbal stem cell biology, management of limbal stem cell deficiency of the corneal surface, bio-construction of the human cornea, corneal epithelial differentiation potential of various non-corneal epithelial stem cells.
