Dr. Sami Abdel Azeem is a lecturer of analytical chemistry at Fayoum university (Egypt) since 2009. He got his B. Sc in chemistry from Cairo University, Egypt (1997). In 1999, he was hired as a Demonstrator at Cairo university (Fayoum branch). From 2002 to 2004, he received his M.SC degree in Analytical Chemistry. In 2006, he earned a PhD scholarship at the University of Duisburg-Essen (Germany) until 2008. My PhD project focused mainly on the extraction of beta-lactam antibiotics in bovine milk, human urine and pharmaceuticals. He published more than 15 papers besides several presentations. The topics of special interest are: Development of chemically modified sorbents and flow injection analysis for remediation and monitoring of environmental contaminations.
