Sarat Kumar Jena (PhD Comparative Literature) is the chief editor of the biennial international research journal The Comparative Review (IACLSC, India) and is the editorial board member of the international research journals, Journal of Mass Communication and Journalism and Journal of Arts and Social Sciences (OMICS International, USA). Recently, he co-edited Cultural Dimensions (Volume. iii, 2016). He received Alfred Krupp Short Term Visiting Fellowship from Greifswald University, Greifswald (July-August 2014, Germany). He is an alumni of Euro Science Open Forum 2016, Manchester (July 2016, UK). He presented his research work on “Colour Revolution, Citizenship and Nationalism in Postcommunist Russia and Central Asia” in Marie SkÅââ¬Å¡odowska-Curie Actions ESOF Satellite Event 2016 ‘Research and Society’ at the University of Manchester, Manchester (July 2016, UK). He has more than seven years research and teaching experience. He is a senior researcher at Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar (Gujarat). His current research study is based on study of nation and nationalism and sub-nationalism, colonial history, postcolonialism, authenticity and representation in Tribal Narratives in Indian literature. He works as an Assistant Professor of Language, Culture and Media Studies and is the coordinator of Leadership and Business School at Institute of Advanced Research, Gandhinagar (Gujarat). His research interests include colonial and postcolonial modernity and history, postcolonial theory, ethnic identity, oral traditions, nationalism and sub-nationalism, tribal narratives in Indian literature, power and resistance, authenticity, new media, colonial history, popular culture and politics of representation, social anthropology and the tribes of India, socio linguistics, grand narratives, gender and sexuality, minority and endangered languages, and communication and transliteration etc. Prior to Central University of Gujarat (Gandhinagar), he received his education and training in media and communication, history, linguistics and literature studies under Gauhati University (Guwahati), Guru Nanak Dev University (Amritsar), English and Foreign Languages University (Hyderabad), Madurai Kamaraj University (Madurai) and Greifswald University (Greifswald).
Sarat Kumar Jena founded International Association of Comparative Literature, Society and Culture (IACLSC) on April 1, 2014 along with a group of social scientists and humanists. IACLSC aims to revive wide scopes of interdisciplinary research by deconstruction of Colonial, Marxist and Imperial ideologies etc. found in various branches of humanities and social sciences studies. Currently IACLSC is acknowledged as an international research organization by Union of International Associations, Brussels, Belgium (August 2016). IACLSC has keen interest in collaboration in interdisciplinary research in humanities and social sciences studies
