Sarat Kumar Jena (born. 1975, Sikharpur, Odisha, India) is a senior researcher of Authenticity, Nationalism, Visualization, Representation and Comparative South Asian Literature at Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar (Gujarat). He works as an Assistant Professor of Language, Culture and Media Studies, and as a Coordinator of Humanities Studies and Leadership and Business Studies at University and Institute of Advanced Research, Gandhinagar. His current research interests are postcolonial theory, ethnic identity, nationalism and subnationalism, tribal narratives in Indian literature, power and resistance, authenticity, popular culture and politics of representation etc. His post graduate research dissertation is based on the tribal narratives of Gopinath Mohanty and Pratibha Ray. He is currently working on the Formation of Nation and Politics of Representation and Authenticity in Odia, Asomiya and Bengali tribal narratives in Selected Novels of Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay, Gopinath Mohanty, Birendra Kumar Bhattacharya, Sunil Gangopadhyay and Rong Bong Terang. He has published more than seventy research papers in conferences, journal proceedings and book chapters in India and abroad.
