Dr Seyed Afshin Shorofi has attained his PhD degree from School of Nursing & Midwifery of Flinders University, where he subsequently started working as Research Associate. H e is currently an Adjunct Research Fellow at Flinders University (South Australia), and an Assistant Professor at Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences (Iran). Dr Shorofi has been a senior lecturer at medical universities for many years, and is nationally well known for his publications, for which he has won several prizes. He is part of the editorial/advisory board of several peer-reviewed journals. He has been working with various multidisciplinary teams running a variety of workshops for academics, aimed at improving and maintaining the academics’ skills in the context of education as well as research. Dr Shorofi has participated in designing, analyzing and/or reporting a couple of quantitative and qualitative research studies.
Dr Seyed Afshin Shorofi research interests are Aged Care, Complementary & Alternative Medicine, Evidence-based Practices, Holistic Care, Research Issues in Health, Research Methodologies, Pain Management, Palliative Care.
