Biography

Mr. B. Shanmugarajan started his career as Production Engineer in Hero Cycles Ltd. Later, he shifted to ARCI, Hyderabad, where he was working as a scientist for more than 7 years. During his tenure at ARCI, he was with Centre for Laser Processing Materials, where he has worked with 2nd generation and advanced CO2 lasers, Nd:YAG lasers and has been actively involved in projects related to welding and allied technologies, especially with lasers, GMAW and variants of GMAW like CMT, Cold arc, etc. Presently, he is working as Manager at Welding Research Institute, BHEL, Trichy, where he is actively involved in number of projects related to both power beam welding processes like lasers, plasma, EBW and conventional welding technologies like SMAW, GMAW, etc.
