Biography

Simona V. Halunga received the Ph.D. degree in radio communications in 1996, from University “Politehnica”of Bucharest, and currently is a full professor in Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Theory faculty, Telecommunications department. Her research area covering 3rd and 4th generation digital communications systems and technologies, signal processing for telecommunications, integrated communication systems and related topics. She authored or coauthored 10 books and more than 100 articles in periodicals or conference proceedings. She was a visiting professor at University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, USA (1997-1999) and is a part time invited professor at Maritime University of Constanta, Romania.

Research Interest

Her research interests focuses on the fields of: latest digital communications systems and technologies; integrated communication systems; Signal Processing for Telecommunications; multiple access / multiuser systems, digital modulation techniques and related areas.
