Biography

Snezhana Gocheva-Ilieva is Professor of Mathematical modeling and application of mathematics at Plovdiv University Paisii Hilendarski, Bulgaria. She received the BS and MS in Computational mathematics (1973) from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, Bulgaria, Ph.D. in Computational mathematics (1981) from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine, and habilitation for Associate professor (1985) in Computational mathematics at Plovdiv University Paisii Hilendarski. Currently, she has published over 110 research articles, 2 monographs and 10 textbooks. She serves as a reviewer for the Zentralblatt für Mathematik, Mathematical Reviews of American Mathematical Society, WSEAS (World Scientific and Engineering Academy and Society), ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) and scientific journals such as WSEAS Transactions on Mathematics, WSEAS Transactions on Systems, Stochastic Environmental Research and Risk Assessment, American Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, and others. She contributed as a member of the editorial board of the following mathematical and engineering journals: WSEAS Transactions on Systems, American Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Mathematics and Computer Science (Plovdiv University). She participated in scientific committees of more than 30 international conferences in the field of applied mathematics and applications of mathematics in engineering and computer sciences.
