Srikant Marakani is currently an assistant professor in the Economics and Finance department at the City University of Hong Kong. He took up this position on finishing his doctorate at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern university in 2010. His current research includes the study of consumption based asset pricing models, long run risk models and firm lifecycle theory. Prior to this, Srikant obtained a master\s degree in physics at the University of Chicago where he held the prestigious Subrahmanyam Chandrasekhar fellowship. He has also previously conducted research on applying concepts from physics to interest models at the National University of Singapore and has published this research in top tier physics journals.
