Srinivasa Murthy K
Principal Scientist, Division of Molecular Entomology, National Bureau of Agriculturally Important Insects, Bangalore, India
His focal areas of research are Integrated Pest Management and Biological control of crop pests. Interests include dynamics of host- parasitoid interactions, application of molecular techniques (microsatellites, AFLP, RAPD etc.,) in determining the genetic variations in populations of host insects, their natural enemies and associated endosymbionts. Currently, he is working on a research is on understanding the role of endosymbionts in fitness costs and benefits and symbiont mediated insecticide resistance.
