Dr. Kaido graduated Nara Medical University in 1995, completed the postgraduate course of neurosurgery under Prof. Toshisuke Sakaki in Nara Medical University, and received PhD about experimental brain ischemia. I researched gene expression and change of complements after experimental brain ischemia under Prof. Oliver Kempski at the institute of neurosurgical pathophysiology, Mainz University in Germany from 1999-2000. I have worked for the Department of Neurosurgery, National Center of Neurology and Psychiatry in Tokyo under Prof. Taisuke Otsuki since 2005, specializing functional neurosurgery such as deep brain stimulation and epilepsy surgery.
