Dr. Takashi Azuma is now an Assistant Professor of Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Japan. He got his Doctor's degree (Ph.D. in Engineering) at Research Center for Environmental Quality Management, Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University, Japan, under direction of Prof. Hiroaki Tanaka. His researches focus on the occurrence and dynamic distribution of Pharmaceuticals and Personal Care Products (PPCPs) in the Water Environment, and Prediction of Concentration of PPCPs in the Water Environment to assess effective water management in river basins. He stayed Graduate School at Shenzhen, Tsinghua University, China during Oct. to Dec. in 2009 and Mar. in 2010 as a researcher.
My research interest is to estimate ‘Contribution of PPCPs discharged from Hospitals to Discharged Materials in Sewage System’ and develop ‘Effective Water Management in River Basins’. I am also interested in ‘Prediction of Concentration of PPCPs in the Environmental Water Environment’.
