Professor Tong Lin received his PhD degree in physical chemistry from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1998. After several years of postdoctoral research in Australia and USA, he joined Deakin University in 2003, working as a Research Academic, Senior Research Fellow and Associate Professor in Fibrous Materials. He is also the Associate Director for the Australian Future Fibre Research and Innovation Centre, the only state laboratory working on fibers research in Australia. He has published more than 130 journal articles and 70 conference papers, and won many research grants from National Competitive Funding sources.
