Vahid Nayyeri was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1983. He received the B.Sc. degree from the Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST), Tehran, Iran, in 2006, the M.Sc. degree from the University of Teheran, Tehran, Iran, in 2008, and the Ph.D. degree from IUST in 2013, all in electrical engineering. He worked as an RF-circuit Designer IUST research center (2007–2010). Then, he was the Technical Manager of three research and industrial projects at the Antenna Research Laboratory of IUST (2010– 2012). From September 2012 to May 2013, he was with the University of Waterloo as a Visiting Scholar. He has authored and coauthored one book (in Persian) and more than 20 journal and conference papers. His research interests include theoretical and computational electromagnetics, especially the finite-difference time-domain method. Dr. Nayyeri has served as a Reviewer to several research journals including the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON ANTENNAS AND PROPAGATION, IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON MICROWAVE THEORY AND TECHNIQUES and IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY.
