Victoria Cabañas studied Chemistry at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) and received her PhD degree at the same University in 1992, on the field of magnetic materials. She is Associate Professor in the Department of Inorganic and Bioinorganic Chemistry of the Faculty of Pharmacy (UCM). Her research has been focused on the preparation (powders, coatings and scaffolds) and characterization of new materials with technological and biomedical applications. She is co-author of more than 60 journal articles Nowadays, her scientific interest are bioceramics for biomedical applications, with special interest in bone tissue regeneration and drug delivery systems.
