Dr. Washington joined the CSULA faculty in Fall 2002. She is currently the lead faculty and Medical/Surgical committee chair, Student External Affairs committee chair and University Upper Division Theme B Coordinator. In her spare time she enjoys traveling.
Dr. Washington research interests include: quality of life issues, vulnerable populations, reminiscence functions and instrument development. She received the Outstanding Research award from Louisiana State University Health Science Center for her dissertation: Modification and Psychometric Testing of the Reminiscence Functions Scale with Ethnically Diverse Older Adult Community Residents. She has received multiple honors and awards.
