Biography

Wei Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, School of Pharmacy, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTIHSC), Amarillo, Texas, USA. She obtained M.D. (with highest honor) in Clinical Medicine from Changzhi Medical College and Ph.D. in Molecular Pharmacology from Fudan University, China. She did her first post-doctoral training in cancer biology and clinical oncology in Peking Union Medical College and Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, one of the best medical schools in China, focusing on pharmacogenomics of cancer therapy; and completed a post-doctoral/clinical pharmacology fellowship at University of Alabama, School of Medicine (UAB), conducting research in oncogene expression and regulation. She joined the faculty at TTUHSC School of Pharmacy in August 2010. With over 15 years of post-doctoral experience in the field of cancer research, particularly in the area of clinical cancer pharmacology and experimental therapeutics, her research has been continuously focused on molecular targeting for cancer therapy and prevention, especially for breast cancer treatment.
