Dr. Wei Zeng is a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Computer Science, Stony Brook University, New York. She received her Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2008, joint with Stony Brook University and Microsoft Research. She received her BS and MS degrees in Computer Science from Shandong University of China in 2002 and 2005, respectively. Wei Zeng has published more than 50 papers in peer-reviewed journals (e.g., TPAMI, TVCG) and conferences (e.g., CVPR, ECCV, VIS, SPM, INFOCOM), and won the Gaheon Best Paper Award. Her research interests are computational conformal and quasi-conformal geometry and shape analysis, including matching, registration, tracking and recognition.
To apply profound modern geometry to a broad range of fields in engineering and biomedicine, including laying down theoretic foundations and developing computational methodologies.
1. Computational Geometric Analysis: theory and algorithms for Computational Conformal Geometry and Computational Quasi-conformal Geometry, with further focus on Surface Matching, Registration, and Tracking.
