Weidong Liu is the professor in Department of Mathematics in Shanghai Jiao- tong University, China. Weidong Liu got his Ph.D. from Zhejiang University in 2008. He was the postdoctoral fellow in Hong Kong University of Science and Technology during 2008 and 2009. From 2009 to 2011, he joint Department of Statistics in Univer- sity of Pennsylvania as the postdoctoral fellow. His research is focused on mathematics statistics and statistical computing. He and his collaborators developed several statistical methods on the estimation of high-dimensional covariance/precision matrix, sparse linear discriminant. He has published more than 20 papers in statistics and probability and many of them were published in the leading journals in the eld of statistics and probability.
