Cellular and Molecular mechanisms underlying the maintenance of telomere integrity. Research Summary Telomeres are special chromatin structures at chromosome ends that are essential for genomic stability, and play critical roles in aging and tumorigenesis. Our research focuses on understanding the mechanism underlying telomere maintenance, specifically on how DNA replication/repair factors maintain telomere stability, as well as understanding the diseases associated with telomere dysfunction.
