Dr. Wen-Harn Pan obtained her PhD degree in nutrition epidemiology (1983) from CornellUniversity and received her NHLBI post-doctoral training in cardiovascular epidemiology,statistics, and nutrition at Northwestern University. She is currently the Director for Nutrition Medicine Research Program and for Division of Preventive Medicine and Health Services
Research, National Health Research Institutes,Taiwan. Dr. Pan has established the CVDFACTS cohort for cardiovascular diseases since 1989. She has also led the Nutrition and Health Survey in Taiwan since 1992. She is currently engaged in plant food and hypertension metabolomics research and several dietary feeding studies. Dr. Pan has more than 190 publications in international journals of nutrition, cardiovascular epidemiology, and omics. She has been obtained the Asia Pacific Society of Clinical Nutrition Award of the year 2010 and served in many academic or public health committees including as chair of the nutrition group for the health people 2020 in Taiwan.
