Whasun Oh Chung is a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Oral Biology School of Dentistry University of Washington. She is also the Director of Summer Research Fellowship Program at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. She was honored as a University of Washington Nominee for Burroughs Welcome Award in the Pathogenesis of Infectious Disease in 2008. She has also served on Special Emphasis Review Sections at the National Institutes of Health. In addition she has served as a reviewer for 5 grant foundations and 13 scientific journals.
